3PL for Bulky Freight, Managed End-to-End
Linehaul, cross-docking, sorting and last-mile delivery under one relationship, with one point of contact. PicUp manages the freight from origin to the customer's door.

What is third-party logistics (3PL)?
Third-party logistics means outsourcing the movement, handling and delivery of goods to a specialist provider instead of running that infrastructure in-house. A 3PL typically covers linehaul transport between cities, cross-docking to consolidate and re-route freight, sorting and picking, and final delivery to the end customer.
PicUp manages this as one connected service. Linehaul and cross-docking are delivered through a vetted partner network under PicUp's management, and last-mile delivery is run on PicUp's own driver network. The client holds one relationship and deals with one team. PicUp manages every leg and is the client's single point of contact.
PicUp does not offer warehousing, storage or inventory management. Freight moves through the network in transit. It does not sit in it.
How the network fits together
PicUp's managed 3PL network, from interstate linehaul through to last-mile delivery.

Cross-dock and sorting are not sold as standalone services.
They form part of the full linehaul-to-last-mile chain PicUp manages for each client.
One relationship, one point of accountability
Running linehaul, a cross-dock and last-mile delivery through three separate vendors means three contracts, three tracking systems, and three parties pointing at each other when freight goes missing. PicUp manages the full chain, so the freight has one accountable owner from the moment it leaves origin to the moment it reaches the customer.
That matters most for bulky and oversized freight. Handoffs between providers are where damage, delay and lost items happen. Fewer failure points, fewer conversations, one number to call.
Tracking runs end to end. Every consignment carries through the chain with proof of delivery captured at the final drop, per stop, including photo capture and recipient confirmation. Clients see status across every leg in one place rather than reconciling three vendor portals.
Case study: A leading Australian baby furniture brand
Before PicUp, this client ran freight through three separate providers: a linehaul carrier, a cross-dock operator, and a last-mile courier. Three invoices, three tracking systems, and three parties to chase whenever something slipped through a handoff. Supply chain bottlenecks were a constant drag on service to customers.
PicUp consolidated the chain into a single partnership: one point of accountability, one invoice, one team managing linehaul, cross-dock and last-mile delivery end to end. The brand now ships nursery and baby gear from Brisbane to Sydney 2–3 times a week, 5–10 pallets per run. PicUp cross-docks and sorts in Sydney, then delivers to the customer the next business day after the truck arrives, every shipment tracked with scan events at each stage.
First month of operation: 99%+ DIFOT. PicUp now runs all of this client's deliveries across Queensland metro and NSW metro, and is expanding into Victoria metro from Q4 2026.
Built to plug into your systems
For clients moving consistent volume, PicUp integrates directly with your order management or e-commerce platform so consignments flow through automatically. No manual uploads, no spreadsheet handoffs. For lower, less predictable volume, our on-demand delivery tier covers self-serve bookings without integration.
Commercial terms are set per client. Talk to the team about lane volumes and PicUp will build the pricing around them.
